Healthcare Customer Service Specialist – Remote

Schedule

  • Remote (work from home)
  • Shifts fall between 8:00 AM–9:00 PM ET, assigned based on business needs
  • Training pay starts at $14/hr, then increases when you move into production

What You’ll Do

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls for member/patient support
  • Answer questions about benefits, eligibility, and coverage
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm provider appointments
  • Support referrals, authorizations, prescription renewals, and other requests
  • Assist with claims questions, billing inquiries, and account updates
  • Update plan eligibility and member records in internal systems
  • Document interactions accurately in EMR/CRM tools
  • Communicate with providers and internal teams via phone, secure messaging, and email
  • Protect PHI and follow HIPAA/privacy rules
  • Escalate complex cases to the appropriate team or supervisor

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year high-volume call center customer service experience
  • 1+ year healthcare or health insurance experience (member services, provider services, benefits support, etc.)
  • Job stability: at least one year tenure per role (they’re clearly screening for this)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfort navigating multiple systems while staying accurate
  • Private workspace + reliable high-speed internet
  • Willingness to be on camera during interviews, training, meetings, and check-ins
