You’ll be a leading voice (and face) for Winter is Coming across short-form video, podcasting, and web, helping grow a personality-led sci-fi/fantasy brand.

Schedule
Independent contractor role.
Remote-based.
No set hours beyond weekly podcast recordings.
Ongoing weekly deliverables across video, podcast, and writing.
What You’ll Do
- Co-host the Take the Black podcast once per week with the site editor, including post-show live episodes
- Share news, opinions, and fandom-driven takes across the sci-fi/fantasy genre
- Create short-form videos 3x per week for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram
- Tap into trends, memes, and viral formats while keeping a consistent POV and tone
- Write at least 1 article per week covering major sci-fi/fantasy TV, film, and books
- Promote written work across platforms and drive traffic back to the site when relevant
What You Need
- Deep love for sci-fi/fantasy media (Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, Fallout, Dune, Stranger Things, and beyond)
- Comfort on camera with strong presence, humor, and high-energy delivery
- Ability to produce multiple videos weekly with speed, clarity, and consistency
- Strong opinions and a fan-first voice that still communicates clearly and credibly
- Interest in podcasting (or willingness to learn quickly)
- A creator mindset that’s agile, collaborative, and growth-oriented
