How 1 Flip Bought Us A New SUV!

Thank you so much for spending your time with us! We would be so grateful if you could take a minute and leave us a review.

One large flip recently paid for our new, but used car. Let’s talk about how one flip paid for our SUV.

This was actually a birthday present for Melissa. We got this a couple of months back, and if you know us, we always buy used vehicles. We hate buying new and we also like to find vehicles that we’re able to resell down the road. I found this vehicle on Facebook Marketplace.

EscaladeEscalade

Prior to buying this car, we had two diesel vehicles. I have an old F250 that’s from 2000 and a 2022 excursion. Both of them are over 20 years old and I’ve been fixing things on them over the years. There was a month where things were going wrong on both vehicles, and I decided I needed to buy something that is reliable. With the kids going to different places and a busy schedule, we need a vehicle we can count on.

I found this vehicle and showed it to Melissa on her birthday. She was excited about it and even more excited because I had just made an eBay sale that paid for it. The vehicle was a 2014 Cadillac Escalade that was taken care of really well. There were no dings and dents and they kept up on the maintenance.

What We Sold To Pay For The SUV

The main factor that allowed me to be able to buy this for Melissa’s birthday was that I had the money from an eBay sale. We had found a Hobart dishwasher that we paid $250 or $350 for, and sold for $6,250. I had that money sitting in our eBay account and used it to buy the Escalade. We ended up paying $7,500 for the Escalade.

The seller was asking for $10,000, but I had negotiated him down. I asked if he’d do $7,500 cash and he said he’d do $8,000 cash. When I got there, I noticed the tires were bald and he hadn’t disclosed that in the listing, so we landed at $7,500. I think we ended up spending $800 or $900 to replace the tires, but the extra $500 off helped.

One flip basically paid for this SUV. It’s amazing that our flipping business can cover big expenses like this with just a few hours of work.

And you can use this to pay for whatever you want to do, whether that’s necessities like your mortgage or fun things like a vacation or experience. If you’re interested in sharpening your flipping skills, check out our free flipping workshop below!
