Last 2 Sales Made Over $2K In Profit!!

Thank you so much for spending your time with us! We would be so grateful if you could take a minute and leave us a review.

Our last two eBay sales made us over $2,000 in profit. Let’s dive into all the numbers – the cost of the items, eBay fees, shipping costs, and the profit. If you’re not making profit, you can’t keep running your business. We like to share what we actually sell so you can get an idea of how profitable reselling can be.

Item #1 – Concrete Vibrator

This was a piece of equipment that you put in concrete and it vibrates the concrete to make it settle and fill in the gaps. I didn’t know much about this product, but the great thing is that I could look up information about the item with just the item name and model number.

I actually purchased multiple items from the seller including two commercial jacknives and a coffee machine, and he threw this in for $25.

Sold on eBay: $600 ($500 + $100 shipping)
Cost of Goods Sold: $25
Shipping: $48
eBay Fees: $91 ($78 + $13 promoted listing fee)
Profit: $435

Item #2 – LED Hardware

These are hardware that hang from the ceiling and have LED panels underneath. We have no cost into these because I bought a huge lot of LEDs that had screens and hardware. I have around 400 of these single units and I sold 12 of these together. We’ve already made all of our money back on the initial buy, so anytime we sell these, it’s just profit. These will go in a box because they’re not very big.

Sold: $2,000 ($1,800 + $200 shipping)
COGS: $0
Shipping: $100
eBay Fees: $215
Profit: $1,685

Total Profits

Both of the items sold were purchased with other items in lots, so that can be a way to save money and make even more profits.

Total Profit from both sales: $2,120

When doing the numbers, we sometimes do free shipping, so we typically add shipping to the sale price because it’s built in. The buyer still pays the price, but sometimes seeing “free shipping” incentivizes them to take action, and the shipping is just built into the price.

The three ways you can do shipping are calculated, flat rate, or free shipping. We typically just do flat rate or free shipping. We rotate between the two to see what’s working.
