The Role: Your Impactful Responsibilities

As a Content & Production Editor with us, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of Lifeway Student’s Ongoing Bible Studies. Your responsibilities include:

Editing Excellence

• Edit content for readability, alignment with brand guidelines, and grammatical accuracy.
• Verify content for biblical accuracy and perform copyfitting to enhance overall quality.

Production Prowess

• Execute production tasks, including securing permissions and preparing copyright information.
• Proofread files, ensuring page accuracy and making necessary corrections.

Technical Proficiency

• Load and apply style sheets and tags for consistency.
• Utilize tools like InCopy, MS Suite, and Adobe Suite for file conversion and metadata management.

Original Content Contribution

• Write and edit with sensitivity to potentially controversial issues.
• Contribute original content on occasion, showcasing your creativity and expertise.

Qualifications: Your Pathway to Success

Education

• Associate or Technical degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related publishing field.

Experience

• 3+ years of editorial experience, preferably in a publishing environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs)

• Advanced Editing
• Communication
• Collaboration

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Proficiency in InCopy, MS Suite, and Adobe Suite.
• Experience in leading/serving in local Student Ministry.
