Customer Service Agent (Full Time)

U-Haul is seeking dedicated, energized professionals to work remotely (work from home) who handle back-to-back inbound calls, crafting acceptable solutions to address Customer’s needs. Customer Service Agents handle a variety of responsibilities and are provided with the tools and knowledge to aid in ensuring every customer has a positive journey with U-Haul Company.  

Scheduling: 

  • Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Sunday with a primary focus of Monday, Friday, and Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (shifts in Arizona time). 
  • Available to work at least one weekend day per week. Priority will be given when providing availability on Monday, Friday, and/or Saturday. 
  • Working holidays is required to provide support for Customers year-round. On said holidays, scheduling outside your availability to meet business needs may be required. 

Initial Education/Training: 

Our paid, comprehensive education program is three to five weeks, including 11 Instructor-led courses. This role is supported by practical concept education from first-rate Instructors, reinforced with education courses from our online U-Haul University, consistent engagement with your Manager and Team, and interactive mentorship and call support from Sr. Agents. These courses will be leveraged with the support described above to empower you to confidently take live customer calls, beginning with your first concept. Certain courses may be scheduled outside your availability; therefore, flexibility within the initial education period is a must. 

Compensation: Earn hourly base pay of $14.00, or $15.00 for Bilingual (Spanish) Agents. Base pay will increase as additional job duties are acquired, and merit increases are given periodically based on performance (Note: Hourly base pay rate may be higher, depending on state or local minimum wage laws).

Work From Home Requirements: 

  • All work duties, including initial education, must be performed at your home address in a private, quiet work area. 
  • Dependent and child-care arrangements must be made as if you were working in-person in an office environment. This position does not allow flexibility to be on-call care for others during work hours, either. 
  • The use of a personal home computer is required and meets the technical requirements (below). Your designated computer must be used during the application process and the same computer used to perform your job duties. 
  • Manager approval is required if you need to change your designated computer. 

The following technical requirements must be met to work from home: 

Computer Specifications: 

  • Windows 11. 
  • 8GB of RAM/memory or higher. 
  • Processor must have CPU benchmark score of 2,000, or higher. 

Additional Hardware: 

  • Webcam (external or built in). 
  • USB headset (wired). 

Internet Speeds: 

  • Ping under 100. 
  • 10 MB download. 
  • 5 MB upload.
